San Jose hosts an annual film event that draws over than 60,000 attendees; it’s the Cinequest Film Festival. And one of the great musical festivals that are organized in the city is the San Jose Jazz Festival. And for the hot events that appear in the city, there are a number of facilities and venues that host these events including for instance the SAP Center at San Jose that host nearly 184 events annually.

Sport also is embraced in San Jose and a number of sports teams are based in the city such as the NHL team San Jose Sharks, the AFL team San Jose Sabercats, the MLS team San Jose Earthquakes and others. The city has hosted several sports events including the 2004 U.S. Olympic team trials for judo, rhythmic gymnastics and other genres, as well as the 7-Aside Rugby Championships.
